Columbus day

To start off, Columbus Day is a U.S. holiday that commemorates the landing of Christopher Columbus in the New World on October 12 of 1492. This date was unofficially celebrated in a number of cities and states as early as the 18th century although it did not become a federal holiday until the 1937.To many people this holiday is a way of both honoring Columbus achievements and also celebrating Italian American heritage.Thats why its now celebtraed as Culumbus Day.

Reflection:  

To start off, my thought on Columbus day is that it's a day where everyone should celebrate respect and honor because it's a very important day.
